Nike to Collaborate With Louis Vuitton’s Menswear Designer

After the success of Balmain designer Olivier Rousteing’s capsule collection for NikeLab last month, the sportswear brand is giving it another shot with a new designer collab this July.

NikeLab tapped Louis Vuitton’s artistic director for menswear, Kim Jones, for its third designer capsule collection this year. Jones announced the news on his Instagram account earlier today.

July 2016 is the closest we’re going to get to an actual release date right now, but that doesn’t mean you can’t start plotting and planning on how you’re going to buy it all. During his five-year tenure at Louis Vuitton, Jones has become known for his utilitarian (think chic, drawstring raincoats) meets contemporary heritage pieces (vibrant Japanese-inspired bomber jackets).

The designs he comes up with for Nike’s signature sneaker styles will probably be the money makers. Once NikeLab’s collab with Rousteing started selling out, some of the shoes from the collection started popping up on eBay for close to $1,000.

If Tisci and Rousteing’s collaborations were any indication, there will be both men’s and womenswear pieces. Rousteing’s black and gold lineup ranged from $75 for a T-shirt to around $300 for a jacket.

Here are some of Jones’s latest menswear looks for Louis Vuitton to give you a glimpse at what you might see next month:
